GoPro surf videos

This is where it all began. Back in the now distant 2002, Nick Woodman went surfing to Australia and since then the action world has never been the same. It was Nick’s goal to film a quality surfing video that has inspired the creation of today’s most popular action cam.
Almost 15 years have passed since and today we take a look at some of the best GoPro surfing videos.

Sunny GoPro Surf

This surf footage has it all: a turquoise rolling wave, sunrays in the water, a blonde protagonist and powerful emotions. Directed by action videographer Elliot Gray, the video is a classic GoPro surf.

Surfing in Namibia

Touted more than once as “the best GoPro video ever”, this almost 4-minute footage featured 54 seconds of real-time tube weaving and was filmed by Benji Brand in Namibia. It now counts over 570,000 views.

Pipeline Winter 2013

Located on Hawaii’s North Shore, the “Pipeline” is well-known for its big and, at times, really dangerous waves. Back in 2013, aerial photographer Eric Sterman captured this stunning footage.
